Accommodation

We have accommodation that provides round the clock support should you or your loved ones need it. Our mission is to empower people with a disability and their families to live the lives they choose by providing support, advocacy and education.

We do this by:

  • Helping people with a disability and their families to understand the NDIS
  • Providing support and advocacy to people with a disability and their families to access the NDIS
  • Educating people with a disability and their families about the NDIS
  • Our accommodation services are available to residents of all ages and disability levels

We offer a variety of accommodation options, including:

Independent Living Options (ILO)
ILO is a home environment that allows for the individual’s own choices and decisions. It can be an apartment or house, or a unit in a retirement community. The goal is to allow the individual to live independently in a safe, comfortable and stimulating environment. If you live in your own home, we can provide you with drop-in support. This may include support with meal preparation, budgeting, shopping and accessing your community.

Supported Independent Living (SIL)
SIL is a 24/7 supported accommodation in a shared home. The NDA funded Supported Independent Living is a program designed to meet the needs of individuals who require assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs). This includes everything from assisting with personal care,(bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming),coordinating and providing transport to medical appointments, meal prep, and finding ways to get involved in the community in a shared living environment. The focus is on developing the skills of each individual to live as independently as possible, we will involve you in choosing your suitable accommodation.

Medium Term Accommodation (MTA)
MTA is a program designed to provide a short-term alternative to long-term care for people who need somewhere to live if they can’t move into their long term home because their disability supports aren’t ready.

To be eligible, you must have a home you will move into, and you need somewhere else to live in the medium-term. NDIS generally funds medium term accommodation for up to 90 days.

Short Term Accommodation (STA)

STA is about people having time away for short stays, enjoying new and familiar experiences while being supported 24 x7 by highly qualified support workers. It is a temporary supported accommodation for a period of 2-8 weeks, available through the core funding of your plan.

Our short-term accommodation is designed to be as equally beneficial to the participant as it is their carers. You have a chance to enjoy time away from your daily care responsibilities, while your participant is supported in an environment that promotes growth and relationship-building.

Short Term Accommodation includes:

  • personal care
  • accommodation
  • food
  • other activities agreed upon by Rapha Care consult

Whether your STA is planned or due to unexpected circumstances, our expert team will be at the ready to help. We can provide accommodation to adults as well as kids as young as six years old.

Families can rest knowing that Rapha Care is providing individual tailored accommodation supports for their loved ones needs and interests.
